Founding Engineer (Full-Stack / Product) – AI Platform
San Francisco (onsite) | Top-of-market compensation + equity | Seed-stage

Tech environment: AWS, containerised infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes), scalable backend systems, and product-facing dashboards.

We’re partnering with a well-funded early-stage startup building a next-generation platform in the AI agent space.
Currently in beta with around 50 enterprise customers, the product enables companies to deploy AI agents safely at scale, with a strong focus on permissions, guardrails, and observability.
The company is now entering a critical growth phase post-launch and is hiring its first engineers to scale the platform.

The role
You will join as a Founding Engineer and work across the full stack:
Build and scale core product features (APIs, backend systems, dashboards)
Work on permissions, guardrails, and infrastructure layers
Own features end-to-end, from concept to production
Contribute to architecture and product decisions
Collaborate directly with early customers to shape the roadmap
This is a high ownership, high velocity environment with direct impact from day one.

What they’re looking for
3 to 7 years of experience (flexible for exceptional profiles)
Strong product mindset and ability to ship quickly
Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems
Comfortable working across backend and frontend
Experience with cloud and infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Background in product-led or VC-backed startups
Strong signals of excellence include:
