Founding Engineer - NYC (Onsite)

A well-funded early-stage startup building an AI-native platform to automate complex, large-scale commercial workflows are looking for Founding Engineers to join their team.

What will I be doing:

Build and deploy autonomous AI systems and scalable backend services to power end-to-end workflows
Work across applied AI and backend engineering, integrating with external systems and bringing intelligent products into production
Collaborate closely with the founding team, owning projects from concept through to deployment and iteration

What we’re looking for:

A high-caliber engineer with strong fundamentals and a systems-thinking approach
Experience with backend development (e.g. Python, TypeScript, APIs, databases)
Exposure to LLMs or AI systems, particularly in real-world or production settings
Interest in automation, agents, and building intelligent software
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
Strong growth trajectory and ambition - potential matters more than tenure
