Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Our client is an AI-native infrastructure company building a next-generation platform designed to help DevOps and platform engineering teams automate and streamline Kubernetes fleet management across complex enterprise environments.

The platform provides a centralized interface for cluster management, automated upgrades, observability, and enterprise-grade security while reducing operational burden across modern infrastructure ecosystems.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers on complex infrastructure deployments and technical implementations.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and customer engagement. You will partner closely with technical stakeholders while helping design and implement scalable solutions across Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.

You will also work closely with executive leadership on high-impact deployments, platform feedback, and broader product direction.

Key Responsibilities

Partner directly with enterprise customers on deployments and technical implementations
Design and support Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure solutions
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and operational challenges
Work across observability, automation, upgrades, and infrastructure management workflows
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams
Translate customer challenges into scalable technical solutions
Support proof-of-concepts, onboarding, and technical advisory initiatives

Requirements

Experience working within Kubernetes, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure environments
Strong understanding of distributed systems and infrastructure operations
Exposure to Terraform, observability tooling, cloud-native technologies, or infrastructure automation
Strong communication skills with the ability to operate in customer-facing environments
Ability to thrive within fast-paced startup or high-growth technical environments

Preferred Background

Experience within Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Platform Engineering, SRE, or DevOps Engineering environments
Exposure to enterprise software deployments and technical consulting
Experience working with highly scalable infrastructure platforms
