About this role
We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with one of the top AI labs.
Forward Deployed Engineers sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success.
You'll be embedded with customer teams, learning their workflows, and shipping product directly to solve their highest-leverage problems.
It's the most exciting role in AI right now, and the companies we work with are paying accordingly.
Early career welcome. What matters is that you can write code, learn fast, and figure things out.
In this role, you will:
Own the customer lifecycle from kickoff through activation, making sure clients get real value from the product.
Sit close to customers, map their workflows, and identify where AI can take work off their plate.
Build directly into the product. If a customer needs something, you ship it, not file a ticket.
Configure the platform with client context, knowledge bases, and integrations.
Be the voice of the customer internally and help shape the roadmap based on what you see in the field.
What we're looking for
A technical degree (CS, EE, math, physics, or similar) and experience writing code in Python or TypeScript.
0 - 4 years of experience shipping products including work, internships, and side projects.
Real fluency with AI tools. You've used Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar daily and have opinions on what works.
Bias toward action. You'd rather ship something rough today than perfect something next week.
Strong communication. You can run a customer call and write a clean Slack update.
High tolerance for ambiguity. The role and the company change weekly.
Ownership mindset. You take responsibility for outcomes, not tasks.
Willingness to travel 25 to 50%.
Bonus points
Shipped a side project that uses LLMs or agents.
Worked at an early-stage startup, even briefly.
Track record of unusual performance in something demanding (academic, athletic, entrepreneurial, anything).
Compensation
Compensation is competitive for the role and stage of company. Equity included.
