Forward Deployed Engineer

Our client is a fast-growing AI startup that is building the next generation of AI Teammates — intelligent, computer-using agents capable of handling the complex operational workflows that traditional automation tools can’t solve.

This team is focused on automating the “messy middle” of enterprise operations: high-variance, manual processes that require adaptability, reasoning, and real interaction with software environments.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, AI, operations, and customer delivery. You won’t just build software — you’ll deploy autonomous digital workers into production environments.

What you’ll work on:
• Translating complex business workflows into autonomous agent behaviors
• Designing agents that navigate browser-native and desktop environments
• Working with technologies like Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, and Python
• Handling challenges like MFA, CAPTCHAs, and non-standard UI flows
• Building human-in-the-loop systems for exception handling and escalation
• Shipping rapidly from discovery to production in days, not months

What they’re looking for:
• Strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, systems, data structures)
• Experience with browser automation or web scraping frameworks
• Strong Python engineering skills
• Builder mindset and comfort operating in ambiguous environments
• Ability to understand operational workflows across industries
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
