We are partnered with a VC backed startup that recently raised $11M from Khosla Ventures and Felicis. They are building the enterprise-grade infrastructure layer for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), providing the security, governance, and observability required for organizations to deploy AI agents safely at scale. Their early customer base already includes industry leaders like Gusto, Instacart, Rippling, Ramp, Box, 1Password, and Opendoor.
They are looking to add a Forward Deployed Engineer to their team. This role is perfect for the current software engineer with customer facing experience who wants to be at the cutting edge of Ai adoption. This person will:
Own technical GTM of POCs and customer implementations
Run pre-sales technical deep dives, demos, and architecture discussions
Troubleshoot integrations across customer environments (IdPs, security tooling, infrastructure)
Build one-off solutions and custom configurations for enterprise customers
Be the technical expert in the room during sales cycles, able to handle stump questions from senior engineers
Handle complex technical support and customer escalations
Requirements
3 - 6 years of software engineering experience, with previous customer-facing experience. This is an extremely technical product. Developer experience is a must.
Has direct, hands-on infra domain experience
Comfortable with ambiguity; can wing technical conversations and sell the future
Can establish credibility with senior engineers and security teams
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
