About the Role
Our client is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their Agent Deployment team. This is a high-impact, customer-facing engineering role where you will work directly with enterprise users to transform complex operational workflows into production-grade AI systems. You will operate as a true software engineer, contributing to the core product while also owning real-world deployments from end to end.

What You’ll Do
Architect and build production-grade systems for customer deployments
Translate complex customer requirements into scalable, reliable solutions
Design and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations
Own the full lifecycle of deployments from initial scoping through launch and optimization
Turn customer pain points into reusable product features
Collaborate closely with sales, customers, and internal engineering teams
Move quickly from idea to production through rapid iteration
Ideal Candidate Profile
Seniority
1–10+ years of software engineering experience
Work Experience
Experience building and shipping production systems
Strong backend or systems engineering foundation
Exposure to APIs, integrations, or distributed systems
Experience in fast-paced or startup environments is a plus
Customer-facing or cross-functional experience is helpful but not required
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong academic background from a top program is a plus
Hard Skills
Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, or similar)
Experience building scalable systems and services
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and system design principles
Exposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or data pipelines is a plus
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers
High ownership and ability to operate independently
Structured problem-solving and ability to navigate ambiguity
Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-intensity environment
