Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
• Conduct field investigations and perform engineering analyses on incidents involving various
types of vehicles and mechanical equipment
• Conduct vehicular accident reconstruction and mechanical failure analysis
• Explain technical findings in laymen’s terms, both verbally and in writing
• Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and
reviewing professional publications
Requirements
• Vehicular knowledge
• Some experience in vehicle accident reconstruction
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, crawl under vehicles to inspect damage, walk on
uneven and unlevel surfaces
• Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• P.E. licensing
• Experience in the Automotive Sector (OEM), Vehicular Accident Reconstruction, Failure
Analysis
• Knowledge of Occupant Safety Protection-airbags, dynamic airbags, interior safety design
• Understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Technology-lane departure, adaptive cruise
control, automated driving
