Qualification: ME (Automotive/Mechatronics/VLSI/Embedded)
Experience: 5 to 8 years
Roles & Responsibilities:
Plan, lead, and moderate DFMEA workshops using AIAG–VDA methodology (7-step approach).
Define DFMEA scope, structure tree, functions, and interfaces
Ensure identification of safety, regulatory, and customer critical failure modes
Guide teams in identifying failure modes, effects, and causes
Ensure correct Severity, Occurrence, Detection ratings
Drive risk reduction actions and track them to closure
Ensure DFMEA alignment with design changes, requirements, and DVP&R
Maintain DFMEA as a living document throughout development
Draft lessons learned to continuously improve our products and processes.
Must Have:
Experience with DFMEA APIS tool.
ISO26262 -FUSA Certification
Knowledge of Special Characteristics and safety critical functions
Strong facilitation skills for cross functional automotive teams (Design, CAE, Testing, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality)
Structured risk based thinking focused on: Vehicle safety/Regulatory compliance/Customer impact
Knowhow for APQP, PPAP, and DVP&R knowledge
Good to Have:
Experience using tools like APIS IQ FMEA, PLATO, ReliaSoft
ISO/SAE 21434 (Road Vehicles – Cybersecurity)
Familiarity with industry standards (AIAG–VDA FMEA, ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
Strong understanding of product design principles /manufacturing processes to understand downstream impacts of design decisions.
Understanding Truck and its aggregate
Understanding Electric vehicle and its aggregates
Understanding of Automations(VBA/Other programming language).
German B1/B2 level language knowledge
