Location: Milpitas, USA
Salary: USD 100,000 – 150,000 per year
Design and develop precision tooling and fixtures, including 3D modeling, 2D drawings, BOM creation, and design reviews.
Lead requirement gathering and technical communication for tooling projects, and deliver end-to-end design solutions for various fixtures, including:
Forming fixtures
Precision positioning fixtures
CNC fixtures
Laser engraving fixtures
Robotic end-of-arm tooling (EOAT)
Drilling fixtures
Inspection gauges
Follow up on fixture fabrication, prototyping, and mass production phases; analyze and resolve issues, and update designs based on product changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process engineering, production, quality) to ensure manufacturability and reliability of designs.
Continuously optimize existing tooling structures and mold designs to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in mold design or precision tooling/fixture design, with strong knowledge of mold structures, machining processes, and surface treatments.
Proficient in CAD software such as Siemens NX (UG), Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, with the ability to independently complete 3D and 2D designs.
Familiar with manufacturing processes for plastics, rubber, metal, and die casting, as well as tooling fabrication and automation equipment applications.
Strong communication and coordination skills, high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to dynamic tasks.
