Job Title: Firmware Developer
Key Responsibilities
Semiconductor Product Development
Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for various hardware platforms.
Implement and optimize device drivers, bootloaders, communication stacks, and middleware components.
Collaborate with hardware, validation, and system engineering teams to define firmware requirements.
Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and firmware debugging.
Develop firmware for interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, PCIe, Ethernet, and GPIO.
Analyze and resolve firmware-related defects and performance issues.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards and best practices.
Develop unit tests and support system integration and manufacturing activities.
Create technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and release notes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
Strong programming skills in C and C++.
Experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, and embedded hardware architectures.
Knowledge of RTOS concepts, scheduling, synchronization, and memory management.
Experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, GDB, Oscilloscopes, and Logic Analyzers.
Understanding of embedded communication protocols and device driver development.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A, RISC-V, or similar architectures.
Experience in BSP development and bootloader customization.
Knowledge of Linux kernel concepts and embedded Linux.
Exposure to secure boot, OTA updates, and firmware security.
Familiarity with Agile development practices.
