Role Description

This is a full-time Hybrid role for a Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer, based in the Greater Chicago Area with flexibility for remote work. The Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer will be responsible for designing fire sprinkler systems, preparing detailed HydraCAD and or REVIT drawings, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and codes, and collaborating with team members to manage project timelines. Additional responsibilities include engaging in BIM coordination and other tasks related to fire protection systems and reviewing product designs for efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design methodologies
Experience with NFPA 13 code compliance and Engineering principles
Proficient in using HydraCAD, REVIT, AutoSprink & Navisworks software to develop detailed layouts.
Experience in BIM coordination and model revisions
Strong understanding of fire protection system codes, regulations, and safety standards
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering, or experience as a fire sprinkler designer.
NICET certification in fire sprinkler design or equivalent is a strong advantage
