Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Gujarat, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing the complex machinery used in semiconductor manufacturing. Acting as the primary technical point of contact at customers' fabrication plants (fabs), this role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Equipment Installation: Assemble, wire, and calibrate loader/unloader semiconductor tools inside cleanrooms
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled routine servicing, software updates, and parts replacements to prevent unexpected machine downtime
• Emergency Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, software, and pneumatic failures under tight time constraints when a machine stops working
• Customer Support: Provide technical support, machine operation training, and regular status updates to the semiconductor fab's engineering team
• Data Logging: Document all service actions, failure modes, parts used, and technical upgrades in the company database to improve machine reliability
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree; Engineering background preferred
• Fluent in English, Gujarati, and/or Hindi, required to liaise with local and English-speaking clients
• Possession of own vehicle required
• Willingness to be based in Gujarat, India
