Our client is a leading semiconductor technology company specialising in advanced RFIC products, mixed-signal baseband/modem processors, and RF and mmWave MMICs. Their solutions support demanding applications across mission-critical professional and industrial markets, network infrastructure, IIoT, and aerospace and defence.
We are recruiting for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support and grow the business across the Americas. Based in the Bay Area, California, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and internal engineering functions to drive design wins and ensure successful product integration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support across North America.
Act as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams.
Support customers with system design, debugging, and performance optimisation.
Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training.
Drive design-in activities and support key customer programmes through to production.
Gather and communicate customer feedback and market requirements.
Collaborate with sales teams to identify and convert new business opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
Travel to customer sites across North America, approximately 40% of the time.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
5+ years' experience in RF, analogue, or mixed-signal engineering.
Strong knowledge of:
RF fundamentals and system-level design.
Analogue circuit design and debugging.
Test and measurement equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel across North America.
Desirable Experience
Experience with wireless, satellite, or IoT applications.
Familiarity with US semiconductor customers and the wider semiconductor ecosystem.
Previous Field Applications Engineer or Applications Engineering experience within a similar market.
