Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

A leading manufacturer of high-precision tooling solutions used to support CNC machining and advanced manufacturing environments is seeking an Applications Engineer / CNC Applications Engineer based in Chicago to support distributors and end users in the Midwest region.

Applications Engineer / CNC Applications Engineer Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support across a range of high-precision tooling products for CNC machining and metal cutting to distributors and end users in Chicago.
• Plan and deliver hands-on training sessions for sales teams, distributors, and end users.
• Perform on-site installation, setup, and commissioning of equipment.
• Provide high-level customer support, including troubleshooting and responding to technical inquiries via phone and on-site.
• Maintain accurate service records in CRM systems and support trade shows, demonstrations, and customer-facing events.

Applications Engineer / CNC Applications Engineer Requirements:
• Proven experience in an applications, or technical support role within CNC machining, tooling, or metal cutting environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of CNC equipment, tooling systems, and machining processes, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites for installation, training, and technical support.
• Ability to train customers and deliver technical presentations.
• A background as a CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer is highly advantageous.
