Field Application Engineer

About The Role

Siemens EDA, a global leader in semiconductor design software, is seeking a customer-focused Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support its PowerPro platform for RTL and gate-level power analysis and optimization.

You will work closely with leading semiconductor customers to drive successful evaluations, deployments, and adoption of PowerPro, while collaborating with sales, R&D, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with sales to define and execute technical strategies aligned to customer needs
Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops
Lead evaluations and proof-of-concepts to drive business wins
Support deployment and adoption of PowerPro across customer teams
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including debugging and training
Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to influence product enhancements

Qualifications

Required

Strong RTL design experience (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL)
Knowledge of digital design, STA, synthesis, and verification flows
A good understanding of coding styles for synthesis and simulation
Experience with RTL power analysis and optimization methodologies
Scripting skills (Tcl, Python)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
BS/MS in EE, CS, or related field
3+ years of experience in RTL(ASIC/FPGA) design is required

Preferred

Experience with power tools (e.g., PrimePower, PowerArtist, or similar)
Knowledge of low-power methodologies (UPF/CPF)
Customer-facing experience (FAE/AE)
Exposure to advanced SoC designs and nodes

Additional Information

Hybrid role with up to 20% travel may be required
Face to face customer meetings are an essential part of this role
