Many of the world’s most dangerous jobs are done by humans. At Exyn Technologies, we’re on a mission to change that.
At Exyn Technologies, we’re driven by a bold mission: to relentlessly innovate autonomous robotics, empowering our customers with geospatial data to explore, operate, and thrive in the most challenging environments. Our cutting-edge technology allows aerial robots to navigate and map complex, GPS-denied environments like underground mines and construction sites.
We believe robots, not people, belong in the riskiest places — and we’re building the intelligence to make that a reality. Join a passionate team of innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in autonomy and robotics.
At Exyn, we’re collaborative people building collaborative robots. This groundbreaking work requires a talented, passionate team. Join us as our next Field Application Engineer!

Here’s a snapshot of your role:
Customer-Centered Problem Solving: Serve as a trusted advisor, leveraging internal tools and processes to address customer challenges and deliver effective, field-ready solutions.
Customer Interaction and Workflow Insight: Serve as a product ambassador, working directly with end-users to understand their workflows, identify how our products fit into their operations, and provide tailored solutions..
Training and Documentation: Develop training plans and materials, collaborating with marketing to create engaging content for end-users. Document key procedures such as robot setup.
Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and hardware teams to streamline operations and improve our products. Share customer feedback with engineering to influence future development.
Deployment: Serve as a deployment engineer, installing and configuring platforms at customer sites, with up to 40% domestic and international travel.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for team members who are passionate, curious, and driven to make a difference. Studies show that underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet 100% of the qualifications. If this role aligns with your career goals, we encourage you to apply — even if you don’t check every box!
Here are the qualifications we value in a candidate:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in robotics, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other relevant engineering disciplines
A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional work experience, which includes hardware, software, and/or mechanical engineering
Experience in customer-facing roles, with a proven ability to engage directly with users and stakeholders
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and approachable way.
Preferred (Not Required):
Experience with geospatial technologies, 3D mapping, or LiDAR systems.
Familiarity with surveying techniques, tools, or workflows used in mining, construction, or infrastructure industries.
Background working with GIS platforms or spatial data processing is a plus.

We’re committed to offering fair and competitive compensation that reflects the value of your contributions and provides you with opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization. The salary range for this position is $82,000/year, and we also offer:
Competitive salary, equity compensation, and the opportunity to participate in the long-term value creation of a high-growth robotics company
Comprehensive benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance starting day one - with 100% employer-paid coverage for two of our three plan options
