Summary
• Chroma ATE Inc., a global leader in Test, Measurement, Inspection, and Automation solutions, is expanding its Service and Applications Engineering team to support the growing demand for semiconductor testing systems across North America and worldwide.
Primary Responsibilities
• Support mechanical aspects of semiconductor equipment, including basic design review, stress considerations, and tolerance evaluation as needed
• Communicate with customers and internal teams in both English and Mandarin Chinese to support technical discussions and on-site activities
• Perform on-site installation, setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of semiconductor test or manufacturing equipment
• Provide field service and applications support, including equipment adjustment, maintenance, and issue resolution
• Assist with mechanical design review, layout evaluation, and tolerance considerations to support application requirements
• Use 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.) to support fixture design, layout updates, or minor design changes
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams or vendors on machining and fabrication matters based on project or service needs
• Assist with BOM preparation, updates, and basic cost awareness for equipment, upgrades, or service kits
• Safely and effectively use mechanical hand tools for equipment installation, alignment, and maintenance
• Travel to customer sites as required to support field service, applications, and project activities
Qualification / Education / Experiences / Skills
• Electrical or Mechanical background
• Computer and peripheral knowledge
• Ability to interpret technical drawings & schematics with trouble shooting/debug
• Ability to perform certain work with hand tools
• Bachelor's in technical field (BSME, BSEE, BSCS or Industrial Technology)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Bilingual – English/Mandarin
• SW knowledge like language of C++/Python/MATLAB or LabView with API application
• Equipment Installation/Service/Maintenance Experience
• Thermal equipment control and knowledge
• Working experience or knowledge of Semiconductor Industry
• 3+ years on relative job function and experience in the fields of service or application
Flexibility to travel 35%-50% to customer sites during work hours. Domestically or Worldwide.
Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder (not accepting OPT and no international
sponsorships available)
Salary: 100k - 130k/year DOE
