About QpiAI
At QpiAI, we are leading efforts in discovering the most optimal AI and Quantum systems in Life sciences, Healthcare, Transportation, Finance, Industrial, Space technologies. QpiAI is building a full-stack Enterprise Quantum Computers.
QpiAI Quantum hardware team is responsible for designing and charaterisation of Quantum Processor, Cryogenic Quantum Control Circuits, RF Control Hardware and QpiAI ASGP.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled We are looking for a skilled and reliable Equipment Engineer to oversee, maintain, and support semiconductor manufacturing systems within our facilities. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of equipment and processes related to Thin Film and Dry Etch to join our quantum hardware fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, thin-film deposition processes, and nanofabrication, particularly for superconducting devices. This role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining thin-film processes for superconducting materials and associated device stack elements.
B.E/MSc/M.Tech/PhD Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with 1-3 years of cleanroom experience in developing fabrication process on silicon substrate. Candidate must be willing to work on weekdays two shift for equipment and process tasks.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of semiconductor fabrication tools and processes, with hands-on cleanroom experience.
Develop, optimize, and sustain thin film deposition, dry etch, and lithography processes
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot deposition tools including PVD, Dry Etch and Lithography.
Monitor and control thin film properties such as thickness, uniformity, stress, adhesion, and resistivity.
Perform DOE experiments and detailed process characterization
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; coordinate with equipment vendors for repairs and upgrades
Support new tool installation, qualification, and ramp-up to production
Develop and maintain SOPs, process specifications, and training documentation
Develop and optimize plasma dry etch recipes to achieve required CD control and profile
Optimize critical process parameters including RF power, chamber pressure, and gas chemistry
Experience developing or optimizing materials processes for quantum, low-temperature devices is a plus.
Knowledge of cryogenic device performance, coherence-limiting mechanisms, and material-device interactions is a plus.
Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
