Environmental Project Engineer (PRP)

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a mid-level Environmental Project Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience with Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP), including both office and field work.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site assessments, investigations, and remediation activities for petroleum-contaminated sites.
Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals in compliance with FDEP guidelines.
Perform data analysis and interpretation to support environmental decision-making.
Coordinate and oversee field activities, including soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, and remediation system operation and maintenance.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and field technicians.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Utilize Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to assist in the design and implementation of engineering projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience with FDEP's Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).
EI / EIT license is preferred (Passed FE)
Experience in preparing Remedial Action Plans.
Ability to conduct pilot testing and field data collection.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in CADD software is a plus.
