Overview:
D&B/Guarino Engineers is hiring an Entry Level Project Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our collaborative team of experienced engineers, architects, scientists and other professionals.

Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of licensed Professional Engineers, Senior Engineers and Project Managers, this candidate will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks associated with wastewater collection and treatment, water supply and distribution, and green stormwater system and design planning projects, including but not limited to:
Complete designs using CADD modeling software, preparing spreadsheets, preparing construction plans and specifications, completing site development designs, preparing stormwater models using HydroCAD, and writing reports.
Perform construction cost estimating, construction observation, facility inspection and soil testing inspection oversight. This individual may work on projects related to storm water, stream restoration, green infrastructure, water quality, and more.
Writing reports and specifications, gathering information, drafting correspondence, and completing progress reports.
Client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines.
Coordinate permitting efforts with various regulatory agencies for our Pennsylvania and New Jersey clients.
Qualifications:
At minimum a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline
0 – 3 years of operations experience in the water/wastewater industry a plus.
Willingness and ability to complete field work which may include sampling and performing measurements at water and wastewater treatment plants, process observation and analysis, conducting pilot studies, conducting sludge studies and quality analysis, evaluating plant performance, and reviewing permit requirements relative to plant performance.
Willingness to follow safety training for climbing elevated structures, descend into excavations, enter confined spaces (below ground vaults or above ground storage tanks) and being in the vicinity of heavy construction equipment and vehicles is a plus.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other CAD-based civil design software a plus. HydroCAD/PC-SWMM modeling experience a plus.
Ability and willingness to conduct fieldwork independently or with a team when needed.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and eager to learn.
Licenses:
FE/EIT and OSHA training is a plus but not required.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Salary Range:
$58,000 – $68,000
