Position: Engineering Aide – Electrical Design
Location: Greater Boston area, Essex County (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Aide – Electrical Design to support the development of advanced power electronics products for our Boston area client. This role works closely with design engineers to assist in the creation, testing, and validation of new and existing electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support design engineers in the development of new power supply products and the enhancement of existing designs
Perform product evaluations, qualification testing, and validation activities
Generate detailed test reports and documentation packages for new product releases
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving product-related issues across internal teams
Work with schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit simulations to support design efforts
Conduct hands-on lab work using electronic test equipment
Required Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience in electrical or electronics engineering support roles
Strong knowledge of analog and/or power electronics circuits
Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, and power supplies
Solid understanding of schematics, PCB layouts, circuit simulation, and test specifications
Knowledge of electronic components, including voltage, current, and power relationships
Experience with soldering and circuit prototyping
Preferred Qualifications
Basic programming or scripting experience
Familiarity with database systems and engineering tools
Skills & Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow technical instructions and procedures
Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
