Job Role: Engineer Planning Mechanical
SECTION I: BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB ROLE

SECTION II: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Planning maintenance jobs at Plant in coordination with Central Planning, Reliability, Plant Maintenance and Process/Operations
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule all maintenance jobs at Plant in coordination with Central Planning, Reliability, Plant Maintenance and Process/Operations
Plan and organise all resources (manpower, material, services, Pooled Assets etc.) for carrying out the jobs
Implement Risk-based approach in routine maintenance planning
Develop and issue Daily & Weekly maintenance schedules in consultation with Process/Operations and manage backlog
Prepare the REAM Annual Plan and Budget for Plant in coordination/consultation with Maintenance and other functions
Maintain multi-year plan for the Plant
Synchronize PM/PdM, Changeover Schedules with the help of Central Planning, Process/Operations, Electrical and Instrumentation
Modify Plan and Schedule as necessary to accommodate Resource constraints and other Unplanned/Emergency jobs
Liaise with Central Planning for alignment and synchronization of Central and Plant Maintenance planning jobs
Track and expedite implementation of Recommendations from RCA/Incident Investigation/APM/Audits etc.
Review Daily LLF Reports/Maintenance and Process Log Books and identify new jobs
Carry out Inventory Modelling and review/fix levels of plant-specific MRO Items on periodic basis
Monitor stock of spares and other inventory on periodic basis and take needful actions
Provide inputs to Reliability Groups on Maintenance Strategy/Plans for its effectiveness in reliability improvement and optimisation of maintenance
Implement Work Order and related Management Process/Systems in CMMS and monitor usage
Maintain current Job List in CMMS/Other Systems for Non-Shutdown, Opportunity Shutdown and Shutdown jobs
Generate and own the MIS/Reports/KPIs for Plant Maintenance and provide inputs to Central Maintenance
Review effectiveness of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling at Plant and provide inputs for improvement
Support Turnaround/Shutdown Planning by Central Maintenance and monitoring of execution
Implement and own Master Data and Technical Object Management at Plant
Skill & Competencies
Maintenance Management including Business Processes and Systems
Strong Goal setting, Planning, Scheduling and organization skills including cross-functional understanding
Good communication, reporting, inter-personal and networking skills
Analytical thinking and skills for planning and decision making.
Managerial, organizing and co-ordination skills
HSEF and REAM Procedures
Understanding of Risk Based Work Selection

Time to resolution
OEE (Overall equipment effectiveness)
Reduction in unplanned shutdown
Shutdown turn around time/ Mean time between failures
