what you will do:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Staff Structural Engineer with flexibility on work location. Required responsibilities include:

Assist with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed final design of new bridges
Perform assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges
Preparation of bridge plans, writing project technical specifications and technical reports, design calculations, and provisions of construction phase services
Perform Primary or Independent bridge quantity/cost take-offs
Perform Quality Control (QC) of project documents
Assist on bridge projects from a technical perspective and coordinate with other disciplines and subconsultants, as necessary
Field visits to project sites, as necessary


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree Civil Engineering required
2+ years’ relevant bridge design experience. Recent or upcoming graduates considered.
E.I.T. preferred
Ability to work in team environment as an individual contributor
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to utilize critical thinking, judgment, and experience to define, analyze and resolve problems and issues
Project management experience a plus
Familiarity with the MassDOT Bridge Manual a plus

Salary range: $76,000-92,000

The salary range displayed is a good-faith estimate of the base pay for this position. The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and market conditions. The salary range does not include additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses or benefits, which may be part of the total compensation package.
