JIRACOR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer I to support Navy engineering and sustainment programs. This entry-level role provides an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience supporting technical projects, engineering documentation, and mission-critical initiatives in a collaborative government contracting environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering foundation, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Review technical data packages to ensure compliance with engineering standards and program requirements
Evaluate engineering and technical referrals in accordance with established processes and procedures
Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA) systems
Review, validate, and develop technical data, technical manuals, and provisioning packages
Analyze performance data and support the development of Readiness Based Sparing (RBS) models
Perform a variety of engineering and technical support tasks
Collaborate with senior engineers and program teams to support project execution and sustainment activities
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering process enhancements
Required Qualifications
Active Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
0–3 years of relevant engineering experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment under direct supervision
Proficiency with technical documentation and engineering principles
Preferred Qualifications
Internship, co-op, or project experience supporting engineering or technical programs
Experience supporting Navy, DoD, or federal government programs
Familiarity with technical manuals, provisioning documentation, or sustainment processes
Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control methodologies
Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
