Role Summary:
The Engineer, Engineering Standards and Tools (ES&T), supports the quality, governance, and usability of engineering data, controlled documentation, and related processes across the organization. Working within the ES&T team, this
role helps maintain accurate and reliable engineering information through data maintenance and cleansing, standards administration, and intellectual property content governance. A primary responsibility is improving engineering data quality through validation, enrichment, consolidation, deduplication, and classification activities. The role also supports the administration, formatting, publishing, and maintenance of internal engineering standards and controlled documents in DocuQuest, ensuring they meet required style, layout, and usability standards. In addition, the position contributes to the monitoring and protection of Flowserve intellectual property content through routine review, reporting, and follow-up activities.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Data Maintenance and Quality
Support the maintenance, cleansing, and continuous improvement of engineering data to ensure accuracy,consistency, completeness, and usability across systems.
Perform data validation, enrichment, consolidation, deduplication, and classification activities to strengthen data quality and maintain reliable engineering records.
Maintain item, BOM, document, and part-related data in accordance with established standards, governancerequirements, and business rules.
Support global parts libraries, including material data and related engineering attributes.
Maintain and improve material, quality, and process requirement libraries, including support for new user requirements.
Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, gaps, and classification issues, escalating as needed.
Partner with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to support data quality improvements and issueresolution.
Documentation and Standards Administration
Support the creation, editing, formatting, publishing, and maintenance of internal standards, guidelines, and other controlled documents in DocuQuest.
Ensure documents comply with required templates, formatting, structure, and control requirements.
Coordinate document development and publishing activities with standards owners, authors, subject matterexperts, approvers, and other stakeholders. Apply Corporate Engineering template requirements when reviewingGlobal Engineering Standards for publishing.
Provide editorial and formatting support to standards owners and authors to improve consistency, readability, and usability of technical content.
Perform DocuQuest administrative activities, including document updates, record maintenance, workflow support, reporting, and user support. Coordinate with and escalate to QA support when additional systemsupport is required.
Serve as project coordinator for standards in development, ensuring timely follow-up with key stakeholders through review and approval stages.
Intellectual Property Content Governance
Partner with engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders globally to support consistent application of standards, documentation practices, and data management processes.
Provide responsive, customer-focused support for engineering data and documentation-related questions andissues.

Requirements:
B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a minimum 5 years of industrial experience.
Experience with PLM, document management, or similar engineering data and content management systems.
Experience supporting engineering master data, part libraries, material libraries, or similar controlled datasets.
Strong knowledge of engineering data maintenance, data quality principles, technical documentation practices, and engineering, industrial, and international standards.
Experience with data cleansing, validation, classification, consolidation, or related data quality activities.
Experience maintaining part, material, BOM, or document-related engineering data in controlled systems.
Strong written English skills, including the ability to create, review, and maintain controlled documentation issued in English.
Ability to work independently after training, including handling user questions and coordinating with stakeholders.
Experience supporting controlled documentation, standards publishing, or document administration processes.
Experience creating, updating, or reviewing technical documentation or training materials, preferably background in technical writing related to Flowserve products.
Strong organizational, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities in data and documentation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a structured environment
