Engineer/Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer / CAD Designer who is passionate about design and has a strong attention to detail. This role will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings from concept through final production. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment and possess strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and related engineering design tools.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design objectives.
Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Translate conceptual sketches, technical drawings, and design requirements into accurate and manufacturable models.
Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and best practices.
Revise and optimize designs based on project feedback, functionality, manufacturability, and performance requirements.
Generate technical documentation including engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and product specifications.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities by implementing design modifications when required.
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to support seamless transition from design to production.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, innovation, and quality throughout all phases of design work.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Stay current with evolving CAD software features, tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Engineer, CAD Designer, or similar role within a manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environment.
Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and solid understanding of:
3D modeling
Assembly modeling
Parametric design
Technical drawing creation
Knowledge of engineering principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to design and manufacturability.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Prior experience in fabrication, steel, or industrial manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
High level of technical accuracy, attention to detail, and craftsmanship mindset.
Self-motivated professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and exceed expectations.
