Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the engineer is responsible for product support and implementation of new product releases to manufacturing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: change of current product, administration of ECN process, and bill of materials structures. Work closely with the manufacturing department to ensure manufacturability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Become an integrated member of product teams to mitigate and implement all engineering, manufacturing, and product changes and enhancements.
Support the production team with the timely execution of solutions to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
Analyzes and evaluates manufacturing methods and standards. Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect operator safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Develops and updates process documentation and procedure instructions.
Assists in the development and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
Work in a safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations.
Perform special projects as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
Strong CAD knowledge in SolidWorks, Alias, AutoCAD, ProE, or other 3D mechanical design.
Strong knowledge of engineering change management: EO, ECN, ECR, etc.
Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, positive attitude.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Proficiency with PC's.
Strong project management skills, self-motivated.
Prior electrical experience preferred on DC electrical systems.
