Overview
An engineering role focused on supporting manufacturing operations through equipment troubleshooting, process improvement, and automation optimization. This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, ensuring quality compliance, and delivering engineering projects within a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing & Process Support
Provide engineering support to manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and optimize equipment and processes
Improve system performance, reliability, and overall production efficiency
Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements (cGMP)
Automation & Controls
Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and servo systems
Support hardware and software modifications for process control systems
Develop and update standard operating procedures for automation equipment
Mechanical Systems
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues across manufacturing equipment
Support installation, modification, and validation of mechanical systems
Project Management
Manage medium-scale engineering projects from initiation through completion
Track progress, manage budgets, and communicate updates to stakeholders
Support capital projects and process improvement initiatives
Validation & Compliance
Execute equipment validation and ensure compliance with change control processes
Maintain accurate documentation, specifications, and system updates
Continuous Improvement & Safety
Apply 6S principles to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
1+ years of relevant engineering experience
Strong project management and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation
Technical Skills
Automation systems (PLCs, HMI/MMI, robotics, servo systems)
CAD software and engineering tools
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Basic understanding of process control systems
