This role focuses on developing and implementing energy efficiency, sustainability, and infrastructure improvement projects for commercial and government facilities. The engineer is responsible for assessing existing building systems, identifying energy-saving opportunities, designing retrofit solutions, managing project execution, and supporting clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site visits to evaluate mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems.
Perform energy audits, resiliency assessments, and utility data analysis.
Identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) and calculate projected energy savings.
Develop engineering designs, specifications, cost estimates, and bid documents for energy efficiency projects.
Support construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to validate project feasibility and pricing.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
Assist with proposals, technical reports, presentations, and client communications.
Define project scope and deliverables while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
