Role Overview
We are seeking an intermediate-level Software Packaging Engineer to support a high-priority initiative involving application packaging and endpoint management within a secure enterprise environment.
This individual will play a key role in maintaining the Microsoft SCCM package queue and building approximately 90 applications for deployment into a new secure enclave environment . The role also includes supporting a strategic migration from on-prem SCCM to Tanium (cloud-based, AWS US tenant in a CMC-hardened environment) .
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage the SCCM packaging queue
Package and deploy ~90 applications for a new secure enclave
Repackage existing applications with minor configuration updates
Support new application package requests (~5 per week)
Assist with migration from SCCM (on-prem) to Tanium (cloud-based)
Ensure applications meet endpoint security and compliance requirements
Troubleshoot packaging and deployment issues across Windows environments
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to fulfill requests efficiently
Required Skills
Microsoft SCCM (endpoint packaging & deployment)
Tanium (or similar modern endpoint management tools)
Application packaging experience (intermediate level)
Active Directory
Endpoint security best practices
Command line switches and silent install configurations
Additional Technical Experience (Preferred)
Windows environments and desktop engineering
PowerShell scripting
Microsoft 365 / Office 365
Intune or modern device management tools
Troubleshooting deployment and packaging issues
Qualifications
Intermediate-level experience in software packaging
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
Effective communication and customer service skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Additional Requirements
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to start immediately (target: early April)
Engagement Details
Contract Duration: Through mid-June (with potential extension)
Workload includes both project-based work and ongoing request support
