HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Fleet Support Engineer to develop embedded software and tooling for safety-critical automated test infrastructure. In this role, you'll work cross-functionally to build sensor emulators, automation frameworks, and hardware-software validation systems.

In this role, you'll design and maintain high-performance embedded Linux applications, develop Python-based test automation, and integrate software with FPGA and ECU hardware. You'll also troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues and support end-to-end verification efforts.

The ideal candidate has strong C++ and Linux development experience, a solid background in embedded systems and hardware-software integration, and hands-on experience building automated test frameworks for safety-critical systems.

As a Fleet Support Engineer, You'll

Architect, implement, and maintain production-quality C++ applications for embedded Linux, with a focus on low-latency, high-performance user-space and kernel-space solutions.
Design Python-based automation frameworks and tools to streamline test execution, integration, and performance validation.
Build and expand hardware-software sensor emulators while maintaining existing test assets and validation frameworks.
Integrate embedded software with FPGA-based and ECU hardware using interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CAN.
Test and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, executing end-to-end verification strategies to ensure product quality and reliability.

4+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong C++ development skills, including experience building low-latency, high-performance user-space and, ideally, kernel-space applications
Extensive Linux development experience, including networking and system-level programming
Proficiency with Python and test automation tools such as Pytest
Experience with Git, build systems such as Bazel, and unit testing frameworks such as GTest
Hands-on experience building hardware-software integration test frameworks using embedded interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and CAN

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with Linux kernel development and device driver implementation
Experience developing embedded software for ARM cores using Xilinx SDK and MPSoC platforms
Familiarity with Yocto or PetaLinux
Experience with FPGA development, SystemVerilog, and HDL verification
Experience with high-speed protocols such as PCIe and MIPI CSI-2
Familiarity with Precision Time Protocol (PTP/IEEE 1588) and Automotive Ethernet
Ability to read and analyze electronic schematics
Knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing workflows
