Architech Labs is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer with strong hands-on experience in embedded electronics, PCB design, hardware debugging, testing, and product development.
The role involves working closely with firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to develop reliable embedded hardware systems from initial prototype through production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded electronic circuits and PCB assemblies.
Create, review, and optimize schematics and PCB layouts.
Work with microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, and power circuits.
Perform board bring-up, hardware testing, debugging, and validation.
Diagnose and resolve hardware issues at both PCB and system level.
Use laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
Select suitable electronic components and prepare Bill of Materials (BOM).
Support hardware and firmware integration and system-level testing.
Coordinate with mechanical and manufacturing teams during prototype development and production.
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and design specifications.
Required Skills & Experience
2–4 years of relevant experience in embedded hardware design and development.
Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics.
Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
Good understanding of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and RS-485.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB design/layout.
Knowledge of power supplies, voltage regulators, component selection, and PCB design fundamentals.
Strong hardware debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
Experience with STM32, ESP32, ARM-based microcontrollers, or similar platforms.
Exposure to hardware validation and product testing.
Experience in IoT, automation, robotics, industrial electronics, or consumer electronics.
Experience developing prototypes and supporting products through production.
Basic understanding of EMI/EMC, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT).
