About the Role
Nuvoton Technology Corporation America, based in Austin, Texas, is seeking an Embedded Firmware Validation Engineer to join our engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for validating Nuvoton’s embedded firmware and developing automated software and hardware testing systems for system‑level features on production platforms used by leading OEM customers. The position involves close collaboration with firmware, FPGA, and hardware engineers to ensure robust, production‑quality firmware behavior on complex systems.

Responsibilities
Validate embedded firmware functionality on complex hardware platforms
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and validation infrastructure
Perform system‑level validation of firmware features, including system health monitoring, power‑management behavior, and platform flows such as boot and reset
Debug firmware and system issues using hardware debug tools and lab equipment
Collaborate closely with firmware engineers, FPGA engineers, and hardware teams to analyze issues and drive root‑cause resolution
Participate in firmware release cycles by providing validation results, technical feedback, and risk assessment

Requirements
BSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems or firmware validation
Minimum 5 years of experience with C programming
Strong understanding of embedded firmware behavior and hardware–software interaction
Experience with low‑level interfaces such as SMBus/I²C, SPI
Overall skill level and system understanding comparable to a firmware / low‑level embedded engineer
Hands‑on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and other tools
Ability to work independently, take ownership of validation tasks, and operate in a multi‑disciplinary engineering environment
