The company's Fuzing & Ordnance Systems (FOS) designs ruggedized electronics for a variety of military fuzing and ordnance systems. Our staff has led or supported the development, design, qualification, and manufacture of numerous Electronic and Electro-Mechanical fuzing devices for numerous large defense contractors and direct government customers. We are looking for talented, motivated and creative engineers to join our team.
We do not expect any 1 person to have all the skills below.
Ability to handle short notice needs/requests.

Act as primary technical interface to internal and external customers.
Adept at multitasking across several projects.
Analog and digital design of ruggedized electronics for ordnance applications.
Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and sound engineering principles to ensure manufacturability and performance
Assist in failure investigations using structured methods.
Be action-oriented and organized.
Circuit tolerance analyses using hand calculations and Spice tools
Competent in circuit analysis, module design, and best practices (EMI, ESD protection, DFM).
Contribute to process improvements to ensure hardware-firmware quality and time-to-market.
Creates test plans/reports and conducts comprehensive testing.
Define and execute design verification strategies (shock, vibration, thermal, acceleration, etc.)
Define, maintain, and improve the department’s development processes and best practices

Developing C# source code targeting enhanced Flash Microcontrollers.
Developing Verilog HDL targeting Antifuse and enhanced Flash FPGA’s.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial.
Experience with DFMA and manufacturing processes
Experience with Electronic Safety and Arming Devices (ESADs) and presenting to Safety Review Boards.
Experience with FEA tools and test validation methods
Experience with lab tools: Logic Analyzers, oscilloscopes, JTAG/ICE debuggers and protocol analyzers.
Experienced in participating in design reviews and root cause analysis.
Experienced in power supply and converter design.

Microsemi / Actel is our targeted FPGA and QuestaSim is our simulation tool. The primary responsibilities will focus on Verilog FPGA design, System Verilog UVM verification and C# based microcontroller development.
Analysis of the requirements, architecture definition, design and debug of FPGA and associated hardware and microcontroller products and associated firmware.
Programming experience in C for embedded systems, including development of algorithms, manipulation of data structures, and implementing highly optimized code.
