Summary
Responsible for designing, programming, and supporting control systems for OEM machinery. This role includes system development, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing technical support, along with documentation and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and program PLC/HMI-based control systems (primarily Rockwell)
Test, debug, and commission systems in-house and at customer sites
Develop customer-specific automation solutions
Provide remote and on-site technical support and troubleshooting
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Prepare design documents, electrical drawings, and bills of materials (BOM)
Select and size components such as motors, sensors, and drives
Support project timelines, budgets, and continuous improvement efforts
Travel for installation, upgrades, and field service as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on PLC programming experience
2+ years of experience with Rockwell PLCs preferred
Knowledge of servo drive systems
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is a plus
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Engineering, or related field
