The role
Founding Electrical Engineer, PCBA Products. You design the boards our controllers are built on: SoC compute, industrial I/O, power. Your designs go from first schematic through bring-up, validation, and production, and they set the reliability bar for everything we ship.
What you'll do
Design, build, and test highly reliable industrial electronics and compute systems, fast: SoC compute, industrial I/O, power.
Own your boards end to end: architecture, schematic capture, layout, prototyping, bring-up, validation, test development, and the handoff to manufacturing.
Architect embedded systems side by side with firmware and software, and run firmware bring-up on your own boards without waiting on anyone.
Design for where these boards live: EMC, thermal, vibration, brownouts, surges, miswiring. Plant floors are not kind.
Feed manufacturing: DFM reviews, test points and fixtures, and the yield conversations after first articles.
Work AI-first: AI every day for schematic review, component research, calcs, and docs. Help build the AI workflows that speed up hardware engineering here.
What you'll bring
EE fundamentals deep enough to work from first principles: power integrity, signal integrity, mixed-signal design, and the failure modes of each. You can defend every part choice on your last board.
You've taken new electronics from concept through production (new hardware, not incremental respins of legacy designs) and lived through bring-up, validation, and the ECOs after.
You've been the technical lead and system owner. The architecture calls, the execution quality, and the accountability were yours.
Proficient with Altium Designer, and hands-on in the lab: scope, electronic load, rework station. You debug your own boards.
Bias to ship: fast iterations, honest test data, no mystery green wires in production.
AI-forward: you use AI daily in real engineering work and know where to trust it. The board still has to pass bring-up, not the chat.
Nice to have
Familiarity with industrial automation technologies and robotics.
Manufacturing and supply chain experience: CM management, component sourcing, cost-downs.
SoC, FPGA, or high-performance compute design experience.
High-reliability or high-channel-count design: industrial, automotive, aerospace, or test and measurement.
Compensation
$140,000–$210,000 base, plus meaningful founding-level equity. The range is wide on purpose: where you land depends on how much new hardware you have taken to production and owned as system lead.
