Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer III to join our Product Unit and help design the next generation of embedded instrumentation and sensing technology. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful products where you'll influence everything from concept and architecture through production and continuous improvement.
If you're passionate about embedded systems, electronics design, and solving complex engineering challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

As an Electrical Engineer III, you'll be a key technical contributor on a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team responsible for developing sophisticated handheld instrumentation and embedded systems used by utility professionals every day.

In this role, you will:
Design and develop embedded electronic systems, analog and digital circuitry, and embedded firmware
Develop embedded and real-time applications using C, C++, Python, MATLAB, and related technologies
Design reliable, low-power electronics for portable instruments with wired and wireless connectivity
Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, supplier quality, repair, and product management teams throughout the product lifecycle
Lead technical discussions and contribute to hardware architecture, schematic design, PCB layout guidance, board bring-up, and design reviews
Support PCB designers with layout constraints including grounding, power distribution, signal integrity, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Perform electrical analysis, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and system validation
Evaluate engineering tradeoffs involving cost, reliability, manufacturability, performance, and schedule
Develop simulations using MATLAB, Simulink, and PSpice to validate electrical and power system designs
Support product verification, validation, manufacturing transfer, and ongoing product improvements
Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure successful product execution
Translate customer and field requirements into practical engineering solutions
What You'll Bring
We're looking for an engineer who enjoys building products, solving technical challenges, and collaborating across disciplines.
