Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) is seeking an Electrical Engineer I or II to support the design, development, testing, and integration of electrical and electro-mechanical systems for industrial, aerospace, defense, and government applications.

Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, prototype, test, and support electrical and electro-mechanical systems and subsystems
Support analog, digital, power, and RF/microwave applications
Develop schematics, power distribution systems, control interfaces, and subsystem architectures
Coordinate design documentation, fabrication, integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities
Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally
Support vendor coordination and specialized component development
Ensure designs meet technical, schedule, quality, and cost objectives
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
Support additional engineering and operational activities as needed

Qualifications

Electrical Engineer I

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
0–2 years of related experience
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred for entry-level candidates
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving capability
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams

Electrical Engineer II

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
2–5 years of relevant engineering experience
Demonstrated experience supporting projects from development through testing and implementation
Proven ability to manage priorities, execute deliverables, and resolve technical challenges with limited oversight

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar PCB design tools
Familiarity with electrical simulation and analysis tools
Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
Ability to prepare technical documentation and communicate engineering concepts effectively
Hands-on troubleshooting, integration, and test experience preferred
Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial controls, ruggedized electronics, or related environments preferred
Experience or interest in unmanned systems, robotics, autonomous platforms, or related technologies is a plus

Additional Requirements

Must qualify as a "U.S. Person" under ITAR/EAR regulations
Ability to travel occasionally to customer or vendor locations (typically less than 5%)
Successful completion of background, reference, credit, and drug screening requirements
