About the Opportunity
Fruition Group is supporting a fast-growing defense technology company developing advanced electrical power products for demanding military applications.
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical hardware across complex power and control systems, working from early architecture and schematic design through PCB development, integration, testing and production.
This is a highly hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys building real hardware, solving system-level electrical problems and seeing products move quickly from concept into deployment.
What You'll Be Doing
Design electrical hardware across low-voltage and high-voltage systems
Develop schematics and support PCB layout and board-level implementation
Design power management, distribution, protection and safety circuitry
Select processors, microcontrollers and peripheral devices
Integrate sensors, communications interfaces and embedded electronics
Work with interfaces including CAN, I2C, SPI, UART and RS-series communications
Design and implement fusing, protection and electrical safety features
Support PCB bring-up, debugging and hardware validation
Use laboratory equipment to diagnose board and system-level issues
Work closely with mechanical, firmware, power electronics and systems engineers
Support prototype builds and transition designs toward production
Contribute to component selection, BOM development, DFM and supplier decisions
Design hardware capable of operating in demanding real-world environments
What We're Looking For
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong hands-on electrical hardware design experience
Experience designing mixed-signal and/or embedded electronic systems
Strong schematic capture and PCB development experience
Understanding of LV/HV power management and distribution
Experience integrating microcontrollers, processors and peripheral devices
Familiarity with CAN, I2C, SPI, UART and/or RS communications
Experience with hardware bring-up, debugging and validation
Comfortable working with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and other laboratory equipment
Ability to take ownership of hardware from concept through test and production
Nice to Have
Defense, aerospace, robotics, automotive or other high-reliability hardware experience
Familiarity with MIL-STD requirements
EMI/EMC design and testing experience
Experience with Altium Designer
Battery, energy storage or power electronics exposure
Experience developing ruggedized hardware
Experience taking products from prototype into manufacturing
