Salary: $160,000–$175,000 base salary, plus health benefits and other benefits

Position Summary
We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Boston. This individual will play a key role in the development of next-generation medical technologies, contributing to the design and implementation of sophisticated electronic systems used in advanced clinical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and validate electrical systems for small, complex, advanced medical devices.
Lead hardware design activities from concept through production.
Design and support PCB development and related activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, systems, and clinical engineering groups.
Integrate and optimize camera and imaging subsystems used in medical applications.
Support design verification, testing, troubleshooting, and regulatory documentation.
Ensure designs comply with applicable medical safety and performance standards.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical decision-making throughout the product lifecycle.
Contribute to the development of innovative sensing and guidance technologies for clinical applications.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering and electronic product development.
Experience with digital hardware design.
Proven expertise in PCB design and development, including schematic design and board-level debugging.
Experience developing products for the medical device industry.
Working knowledge of IEC 60601 medical electrical equipment standards.
Experience with patient isolation design and electrical safety considerations in medical systems.
Familiarity with IEC 61010-1 standards and related compliance requirements.
Experience integrating or supporting camera systems, preferably within medical imaging or other scientific or safety-critical applications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with light detection, motion, ranging technologies, or other advanced optical sensing systems.
Previous involvement in the development of surgical, robotic, imaging, or image-guided medical devices.
Experience supporting products through verification, validation, and regulatory submissions.
Familiarity with design controls and quality processes applicable to medical device development.
