Our client is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Lowell, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 3+ years of experience who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to production.
Working closely with in-house teams and OEM partners, you'll help develop innovative electrical and electromechanical solutions for complex automated equipment.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support the team design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and development of electrical and electronic systems from concept through to production
Create and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation
Assist with PCB design activities, including layout reviews and component selection
Perform board bring-up, testing, and debugging of electronic circuits
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at both board and system level
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Collaborate with in-house teams, OEM partners, and suppliers to deliver high-quality solutions
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Approximately 3 years of industry experience in electronics design and development
Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle, from concept to production
Experience supporting the assembly and integration of electrical and electromechanical systems
Ability to interpret and produce assembly drawings and work instructions
Core Technical Skills
Schematic capture using tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, or Cadence
PCB design experience, including layout reviews and component placement considerations
Board bring-up, testing, and debugging of electronic circuits
Proficiency using laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and logic analysers
Component selection and creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Desirable Experience
Exposure to embedded C/C++ firmware development
Experience with sensors or battery systems
