We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our medical device development team. You will contribute to the design, testing, and integration of electrical systems for cutting-edge medical devices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative healthcare technologies and help bring life-saving products to market. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, software, and regulatory professionals to ensure the devices meet all industry standards and regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical components and systems for medical devices.
Design or review PCB layouts and schematic diagrams using tools such as PADs PCB, Xpedition, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar.
Participate in the assembly and testing of prototypes, helping to troubleshoot and debug electrical issues.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and software components.
Conduct electrical analysis, including circuit simulation, power consumption analysis, and signal integrity testing.
Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements, including FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601.
Document design processes, test results, and technical specifications for regulatory submissions and product design history files (DHF).
Support design, implementation and testing of 802.11 a/b/g modules in a medical device
Support design verification and validation efforts, including safety and reliability testing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in design of Electronics for Medical Devices.
Advanced knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and microcontrollers
Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Altium Designer, PADs, OrCAD, PSpice, or similar tools).
Experience with designing RF connectivity and hardware interfacing to 802.11 a/b/g modules
Experience with medical device testing protocols, including EMI/EMC testing, electrical safety, and reliability testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Understanding of industry standards and the ability to work in a regulated environment.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of medical device regulations, including FDA, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601.
Experience with RF testing and system testing.
Familiarity with embedded systems design and firmware development.
Design and implement motor control systems for DC, BLDC, stepper, and AC induction motors.
Design, integrate, and validate analog and digital sensor interfaces (temperature, pressure, position, force, current, voltage).
Develop signal conditioning circuits including amplification, filtering, isolation, and analog‑to‑digital conversion.
