Job Description
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer for low-voltage vehicle platform development, with a strong background in automotive systems and 12V architecture.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in power circuit design, DC-DC converters, battery systems, and functional safety standards like ISO 26262.
Background in the automotive field.
Understanding of requirements for Level 4 low-voltage (LV) power systems; strong knowledge of 12V architectures.
Skilled in electrical and power circuit design, especially crafting input stages for LV modules using 12V sources.
Familiarity with components like DC-DC converters, 12V battery systems, and charge management circuitry.
Exposure to functional safety frameworks, particularly ISO 26262, as applied to power systems.
Capable of drafting and structuring technical requirement documents.
Able to conduct deep technical analysis and evaluate tradeoffs in engineering decisions.
Proficient in interpreting test outcomes and collaborating closely with test engineering personnel.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Effective team collaborator and cross-functional partner.
Proficiency in tools such as Python, Matlab and SQL - hands-on experience with coding, particularly in Python and Matlab environments.
along with the ability to write requirements, assess tests, and collaborate across teams, is essential.
Pluses
Prior collaboration with Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs on vehicle integration and automotive product development.
Ability to construct SQL queries (e.g., experience with Dremel or F1 systems).
Exposure to electrochemical principles in battery tech or experience modeling battery behavior.
Familiar with verification and validation processes specific to LV systems.
Participated in LV power budgeting efforts during vehicle program execution.
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 a year
