⚡ Electrical Engineer (PE) — Power Systems & Design | Portland, OR
Ready to take the lead on complex electrical systems and make a real impact on critical infrastructure? We’re hiring a mid-to senior-level Electrical Engineer in Portland, OR to support a wide range of projects, from power distribution and lighting to advanced low voltage systems and reliability studies.

🔧 What You’ll Do
Perform engineering studies of power and low voltage systems to assess existing conditions and recommend upgrades
Design electrical systems ranging from simple to highly complex, including:
Power distribution & lighting
Equipment installations & heat trace systems
Conduct:
Short circuit and arc flash analysis
Overcurrent protective device coordination
Power quality and reliability evaluations
Design low voltage systems (instrumentation & controls, telecom, life safety, security)
Collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
Interface directly with clients for design reviews and technical consultations
Develop technical documentation (specifications, reports, testing procedures, sequences of operation)
🎯 What We’re Looking For
7+ years of experience as an independent electrical engineer/designer
Strong understanding of NEC requirements, including:
Circuit sizing & de-rating
Electrical clearances
Motor circuit & transformer feeder design
Class 1/2/3 wiring separation
Proven ability to lead projects while collaborating effectively
Highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability
Strong communication skills—both technical and client-facing
🧩 Qualifications
BSEE (or equivalent) from an accredited university
PE License required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Proficiency in:
Revit
AutoCAD
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with EasyPower or SKM (a plus)
