What you'll do
Design electronic circuits and printed circuit boards from requirements, sketches, or prototype concepts
Create schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, wiring diagrams, and supporting design documentation
Select components and evaluate tradeoffs related to performance, cost, availability, manufacturability, and reliability
Assemble, populate, modify, and debug prototype circuit boards and hardware test setups
Perform board bring-up, bench testing, troubleshooting, and validation using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
Collaborate with software, firmware, cybersecurity, and systems engineers to integrate hardware into larger prototypes and demonstrations
What we're looking for
Experience designing, prototyping, or testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards
Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as KiCad, Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, or similar
Working knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design fundamentals
Hands-on experience with soldering, board rework, cable assembly, lab equipment, and hardware troubleshooting
Ability to document designs, assumptions, test results, and engineering tradeoffs clearly
US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Nice to have
Experience with RF circuits, antennas, signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations, or high-speed board design
Experience with FPGA-based hardware, HDL workflows, digital logic, or embedded hardware interfaces
Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, sensors, data acquisition, power electronics, or low-noise measurement circuits
Experience preparing boards for fabrication, assembly, design reviews, or small-batch prototype production
Experience with defense, aerospace, cyber-physical systems, test equipment, or ruggedized hardware
Active DoD Secret clearance
