Electrical Design & Controls Engineer – Advanced Semiconductor Equipment

Work on technology at the cutting edge of semiconductor manufacturing.
Our client designs and manufactures highly sophisticated equipment used within the global semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries.

Their systems combine precision automation, robotics, vacuum technology, electronics, embedded controls and software to perform highly controlled processes at the limits of modern manufacturing.

This isn't traditional factory automation. You'll be working on complex capital equipment where multiple engineering disciplines come together to deliver exceptional precision and performance.

The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Controls Engineer to help develop, integrate and improve next-generation process and test equipment.

You'll work across:
Embedded controls and firmware
C/C++ software
Microcontroller and PCB-based systems
Robotics and automation
Sensors and instrumentation
Equipment integration and validation
Automated testing and diagnostics

You'll collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, software and process engineers, solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of control systems from development through to deployment.

What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics or similar.
c.5 years' experience in semiconductor equipment, process equipment, vacuum technology, robotics or a similar high-tech environment.
Strong C/C++ programming experience.
Experience with embedded control systems and microcontrollers.
Exposure to robotics, automation and complex equipment architectures.
Familiarity with PLCs and modular automation platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and system integration skills.
A hands-on, technically curious approach to engineering.

Why Join?
This is an opportunity to work on high-value, technically complex equipment at the forefront of semiconductor technology — alongside engineers from multiple disciplines and on technology that enables the next generation of high-tech products.

If you're looking for a role that will genuinely challenge you technically, this could be it.

Compensation $100,000 – $130,000 base salary, plus competitive healthcare, retirement and bonus benefits.

We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
