Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Electric Motor Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of AC/DC motors and related electromechanical systems. This role requires strong expertise in gear design, manufacturing, product development, project leadership, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM/DFA) principles. The engineer will manage technical projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, support customers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop AC/DC motors, gears, and electromechanical products.
Lead engineering projects from concept through production.
Create project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and technical specifications.
Perform design verification, testing, FEA, simulation, and performance analysis.
Develop tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes for new products.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, drawings, and engineering records.
Drive continuous improvement and support design-for-manufacturing initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of engineering experience.
Extensive experience in gear design and manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of product development, project management, and engineering analysis.
Experience with CAD, FEA, simulation tools, and DFM/DFA principles.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
Electric motor design (AC/DC motors).
Tooling and fixture design.
Continuous improvement methodologies.
Customer-facing engineering experience.
