Product Engineers are the key interface between Research and Development, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Quality Assurance departments. Mission: Deliver and Improve Quality and Yield Performance to Plan
Prepare for New DRAM Products:
· Yield/Quality teams will begin engaging well ahead of silicon arrival as key participants in ramp/product planning activities for upcoming products
· Support yield and product grading forecasting, tracking, communication, and improvement across designs
· Work with Design Engineering and help complete pre-silicon simulations and documentation
· Understand how the manufacturing process impacts CMOS & design response
· Bring together and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement
· Work with Manufacturing teams to ensure resources and support programs are prepared for new products and new datasheet specifications
Ensure Silicon Meets Product Expectation:
· Create and maintain yield paretos with new data, actions, timelines, and estimated yield gains, and provide prioritization to drive pareto improvements
· Extract and analyze silicon parametric and test-manufacturing data
· Perform hands-on failure analysis in our lab to isolate root cause
· Work with Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) and Fab teams to understand physical failures and drive corrective actions
· Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) Teams on reliability performance and customer returns
· Monitor and drive performance to plan, assist in defining actions and priorities
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing:
· Coordinate closely with the Product Leadership Team to ensure yield and quality are fully represented in the overall product leadership approach, and strategies are aligned to delivering the product objectives/timelines
· Collaborate with Test Engineering and Design-For-Test to provide test mentorship that improves product quality and/or yield
· Contribute to driving complex solutions to support our partner teams
· Build and deliver technical presentations to a wide range of audiences
· Analyze current and historical trends, and experiment data, to improve the accuracy of product performance forecasts
· Assist in championing yield and quality deliverables to business plan to enable revenue and customer deliverables
How To Qualify:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering
· 2+ years of related industry experience preferred
· Familiarity with the appearance of common DRAM fail modes by data and fail analysis
· Proven ability to tackle problems across multi-functional groups, both within and outside the department
· Solid communication and presentation skills
· Solid interpersonal skills and a track record as a strong collaborator
