Duties:
Position Summary:

This Document Control position is responsible for maintaining accurate electrical documentation by updating electrical panel schedules, one-line diagrams, and associated records using EasyPower and Microsoft Excel. The role supports Facilities Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams by ensuring electrical distribution documentation reflects approved field changes and complies with established document control standards. Responsibilities include updating EasyPower models, managing panel schedule revisions, maintaining records, and providing accurate documentation for facility operations and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Update electrical panel schedules in Excel based on approved field modifications, Electrical Circuit Requests (ECRs), and engineering documentation.
Maintain and revise EasyPower electrical distribution models to reflect current field conditions.
Review engineering changes and incorporate updates into panel schedules, single-line diagrams, and related electrical records.
Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency between EasyPower models, panel schedules, and field documentation.
Generate and distribute PDF panel schedules for facility posting and record retention.
Maintain document control procedures for revision tracking, file naming, approvals, and document storage.
Support engineering and construction teams by providing current electrical documentation and responding to document requests.
Track completed electrical changes and maintain electrical system records and status logs.
Assist with document management activities related to facilities engineering drawings and project closeout documentation.

In addition, this position will work with the Document Control team to:

For lab, sublab, and office spaces, incorporate project close-out files into as-built documents including electrical, mechanical, piping (plumbing, process, etc.), process & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), instrumentation & control drawings (I&C), evacuation maps, fire riser maps, etc.
Maintain a centralized document management system, including electronic document repositories and physical filing systems, to organize and store documents securely.
Search file repositories and deliver requested information to stakeholders.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
Periodic facility walkthroughs and field verification of building information.

Skills:
Required Qualifications:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, and technical documentation.
Degree or extensive work experience in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Facilities Management, CAD Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD. Experience updating building floor plans, space boundaries, occupancy data, and facility records.
Strong understanding of CAD standards, layer management, block attributes, and drawing quality control.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to review and comprehend construction documents, floor plans, and technical drawings.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using EasyPower software for electrical system modeling and documentation updates.
Experience with document control processes in semiconductor manufacturing, industrial facilities, or construction environments.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SharePoint, or electronic document management systems.
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems including switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, and panelboards.
Familiarity with SharePoint, document control processes, and electronic records management.
Experience supporting large-scale facility portfolios or manufacturing environments.

Education:
Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, Facilities Engineering, Document Control, or a related field.
